The original goat project started in 2021 as a Go and Do Likewise Foundation experiment. Go and Do Likewise Foundation has been active in Haiti and the Dominican Republic since 2012. It has founded and supported various children’s homes, feeding programs, landfill ministries, churches, and prison ministries working closely with in-country missionaries. Our question in 2021 was whether it would be possible to start a program that could grow organically, but most importantly, empower the recipients economically rather than creating dependence. To date, we have given over 200 goats helping families gain financial stability while allowing them to give back organically to their own communities and help their own neighbors with the young goats they bred and raised.

Pastor Enol Yeon and his wife Mayra direct all of the local field activities in the D.R. In addition to pastoring his own church, Enol serves as pastor for Solid Rock International.

Zann McMahan serves as secretary for Goats for Good. He is a family physician in Oklahoma City. He volunteers at several local free clinics and goes on an annual medical mission trip.

Dan Auker serves as our "goat expert". He raises goats in Pennsylvania and graciously volunteers to teach and train our staff and and families receiving goats how to best care for the goats
